John & Jackie Cox Support Cirque Du Soleil, “Alegria”

In December of 2021 we were asked if we wanted to provide massage for the Performers of LUZIA by Cirque du Soleil, and we are delighted to have been asked once again this year with John & Jackie currently visiting the team at Production Park Studios.

John & Jackie are having a great experience working back stage providing massage for the Athletes and Performers of another one of their shows called ALEGRIA. 

In John’s words…

It’s very hard work, however it’s a complete honour to be working with top Athletes and Performers from all over the world!

 

Their commitment to being at the peak of their fitness is awe inspiring.

Jackie & I couldn’t be prouder to be a small part of this supporting team. We’re loving every moment and thank you once again for allowing us to provide our expertise to these fantastic artists.

We are proud to announce the return of Physiotherapist Gavin Walker!

Gavin is a HCPC registered MSK physiotherapist who qualified in 2010 from Leeds Met University.  As many of you may know, his career started at John Cox Health in 2011 where he built up a excellent rapport and client base.

In 2014 Gavin started doing some part time work at Barnsley FC with the u16-9s players. This led to becoming the full time head academy physiotherapist in 2017. Gavin stepped up to become a first team physiotherapist at BFC in 2021 where he was responsible for the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of elite athletes.

Gavin has now returned to John Cox Health to apply his knowledge and experience to improve patients quality of life and wellbeing and we’re already seeing a stream of clients return.

Snooker Exhibition Success with Legend & 1985 World Snooker Champion Dennis Taylor!

We have built quite a reputation for hosting local Snooker exhibitions alongside Chris Lovell, including Cliff ‘The Grinder’ Thorburn a couple of months ago and our latest legend Dennis Taylor just last month!

Not only does our local community benefit from these events, but John is able to fulfil his lifelong dream of hosting industry legends – now friends.

John is now in demand to give talks and presentations regarding injury prevention and maintenance within both the snooker & football sporting worlds – his knowledge is inspiring the next generation of sports professionals.
